IMD Forecast for Rajasthan: Rain or Heatwave? Know Weather from May 11–15

IMD Weather is changing in Rajasthan every. Sometimes there is rain at some places, at the same time there is heatwave and thunderstorm in different areas. Now Indian Metrological Department (IMD) provides latest update for the weather from 11 May to 16 May, 2026. According to this update, due to western disturbance on 11 and 12 May, there is possibilities of storm and light rain in some areas of Bikaner division, Shekhawati region, northern parts of Jaipur and Bharatpur. Weather is likely to remain dry in remaining areas.

According to department, minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to rise by 2 or 3 degree Celsius in most parts of the state in the coming days. Heatwaves and hot nights are expected in parts of western Rajasthan for the next five to six days. Areas around Jodhpur division are expected to record maximum temperatures of around 45 degrees Celsius, and heatwave conditions are likely to persist.

IMD: Maximum temperature in Barmer, minimum in Fatehpur

According to IMD data, the weather remained largely dry on Saturday in last 24 hours. Heat waves and warm nights were reported at some places in the state. The highest maximum temperature in the state was 45.7 degrees Celsius in Barmer. The lowest temperature was 20.9 degrees Celsius in Fatehpur and Sikar. Night temperatures also increased by six degrees.

IMD: Jaipur’s maximum temperature is expected to be 39 degrees Celsius

The effect of western disturbance has ended in Jaipur. The effect of heat has started. The day and night temperature will now increase. The temperature of Jaipur weather was recorded at 39 degree Celsius at 2 pm today. The maximum temperature of Jaipur today is expected to be 39 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 28 degree Celsius. On 11th and 12th May, there is a possibility of strong storm, clouds and scattered rain in the areas around Jaipur district. According to the weather center, the weather will remain dry in the coming days.

Orange and Yellow alert activate

The Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow alerts for intense heatwave conditions in western districts for the next two to three days. Eastern Rajasthan is also warned of thunderstorms, cloudy skies, and light rain at isolated places.
