PM Modi appealed to drink plenty of water
Prime Minister Modi posted on Twitter, “Temperatures are steadily rising in various parts of the country. Along with this, the heat is also increasing the difficulties in daily life. I urge all my countrymen to take as many precautions as possible. Please keep yourself hydrated and carry water with you when you leave the house.”
Citizens were also advised to do good deeds- PM Modi
He said, “In such weather, your sensitivity also becomes a great support. If possible, give a glass of water to a thirsty person. I also commend those who keep water pots outside their homes and shops so that anyone can drink from them.”
In another post, PM Modi wrote, “Whenever possible, call your parents, grandparents, and other loved ones to check on them. Advise them to drink plenty of water, avoid going out in the hot midday sun, and get as much rest as possible.”
PM Modi further wrote, “In this scorching heat, we must not forget the birds and animals around us. Even a small pot of water placed outside your home, balcony, terrace, shop, or office can be a lifesaver for a thirsty bird. Let us take care of each other with utmost sensitivity and compassion during these difficult times.”
In this extreme heat, let us also remember the birds and animals around us. A small bowl of water kept outside your home, balconies, terraces, shops or offices can become a lifeline for a thirsty bird. May compassion guide us in these difficult days.

Nautapa started on 25th May
The Nautapa (sun-warm) period, which began on May 25th, has begun to take effect across the country. With the onset of Nautapa, intense heat has exacerbated the hardships of people in many states. The intense sunlight and hot winds have been driving temperatures higher since morning. The steadily rising temperatures have made it difficult for people to venture outside.
