During the tour of Amer, guide Mahesh Sharma briefed them on the history and architecture of Sheesh Mahal, Ganesh Pol, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, Sukh Niwas, and Maatha Lake. After the palace tour, Marco Rubio and his wife arrived at Rambagh Palace.

Earlier, he arrived at Jaipur Airport on a special flight from Agra at around 1:30 pm. Upon disembarking, he smiled and said, “Have fun!” He was accompanied by US Ambassador Sergio Gor.

Extensive security arrangements were made for his visit. Amer Palace was closed to tourists from 1 pm to 5 pm. Traffic was also temporarily halted on the approximately 19-kilometer route from the airport to Amer.
