Abhijit Dipke: The political debate surrounding the Cockroach Janata Party, a digital movement that has been rapidly going viral on social media, has now intensified. Following a statement by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, the issue has taken a new turn.

Called Youth as Pakistani
Without taking names, Rijiju hinted that some social media platforms leverage influence from foreign powers like Pakistan and George Soros to garner followers. He also said that India has a large and active youth population, which can help generate genuine and authentic followers.

Abhijit Dipke replies
Following this statement, Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijit Dipke hit back on social media. He shared a screen recording and claimed that the majority of his platform’s audience is from India.

Dipak questioned Rijiju
Tagging Rijiju, Deepak wrote that according to him, more than 94 percent of his followers are from India. He questioned why a Union Minister was associating Indian youth with foreign influence without any solid basis.
How did the Cockroach Janata Party movement begin?
The Cockroach Janata Party began as a satirical digital campaign. It began when the words like ‘cockroach” and “parasite” were used by the Chief Justice of India Surya Kant went viral on social media following a court comment. Later, clarification was made that the comment was a reference to people with fake degrees and falsely practicing law, but by then the issue had become a major trend on social media.
Youth issues garnered significant support
Abhijeet Dipke, taking this trend forward, created an online platform called the Cockroach Janata Party. Gradually, the platform grew into a major digital movement, raising issues such as unemployment, the examination system, and alleged irregularities in recruitment. The page’s popularity among young people quickly grew, surpassing many major political pages in terms of followers.
Popularity increased after NEET paper leak controversy
The movement gained further support during the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy. Its reach increased rapidly on social media as medical aspirants voiced their anger.
Serious allegation for websites and accounts
Abhijeet Dipke has alleged that his social media accounts and website have been hacked or blocked in India. He claims he received threats as a result. He also stated that he started an online petition that garnered millions of support, but his website was subsequently shut down.
Who is Abhijit Dipke?
Abhijit Dipke is a master’s student in Public Relation from Boston University, America. He has worked as a media campaign worker in 2020 with Aam Aadmi Party. Currently he is handing a social media platform ‘Cockroach Janata Party’.
