Prices of Saras Milk, Buttermilk and Lassi increased in Jaipur

If you drink tea, coffee or milk on a regular basis then this news will definitely affect you. Saras milk will now be more expensive in Jaipur. The Jaipur District Milk Producers Cooperative Union Limited (Jaipur Dairy) increased the price of Saras milk on Wednesday. The dairy has raised the rate by 2 rupees per litre. The new rates will take effect on the evening of May 21st.

Not only milk, but the prices of buttermilk, curd and lassi have also increased by 2 rupees. Right now, the Jaipur dairy is making a net profit of more than Rs 100 crore, in such a situation, instead of giving relief to the common people, the dairy administration is increasing its profits.

Now, after this, the new rate of 1 litre Tond Blue Saras milk will be 56, Standard Green 62, and Gold is 70.

Increment in rate of Paneer

Saras Dairy has also increased the prices of paneer, curd, buttermilk, and lassi. 200 grams of paneer will now cost ₹6 more. It previously cost ₹74, but will now cost ₹80. The price of a 1 kg packet of paneer has been increased by ₹23. It was previously priced at ₹362, but will now cost ₹385.

Apart from this, the price of curd is also increased from 16 to 18 rupees while 400 gram curd packet is increased by ₹4. Now the customer will have to pay 36 rupees. The dairy has increased ₹1 on buttermilk, ₹2 on lassi and ₹2 on namkeen buttermilk.

Increased price in August last year

This is not the first time that Saras has increased it’s prices. It has increased it’s price in August last year and in 2024 by ₹2 on every product. Milk prices have been increased 12 times from 2017 to till date.

These increased prices will affect consumers in Jaipur and Dausa districts, as Jaipur Dairy supplies milk to these two districts. Currently, Jaipur Dairy supplies over 11.60 lakh liters of milk to these two districts every day.

Milk procurement price increased

Jaipur Dairy has increased the procurement price of milk along with its selling price. This will benefit dairy products. The dairy has increased the price by ₹25 per kilogram of fat. Following this increase, milk producers will now be paid ₹875 per kilogram of fat, instead of ₹850 per kilogram.

Amul and Mother Dairy also increased price

Earlier, on May 13, Amul Dairy had raised milk prices by up to ₹2 per litre. Half an hour later, Mother Dairy also raised milk prices by ₹2 per litre.
