On Thursday, singer-influencer Aarti Khetarpal’s Sanatan Dharma-themed look was revealed, in which she was seen on the Cannes red carpet with the Bhagavad Gita in her hand and a purse with ‘Hare Ram’ written on it.
Earlier, Alia Bhatt walked the red carpet in Cannes on Wednesday evening in an ice-blue gown. She was seen in a Cinderella avatar during the premiere of her film “A Woman’s Life”.

Aarti Khetrapal adopted the Sanatan Dharma theme
Aarti Khetrapal stole the show at the Cannes Film Festival with her Sanatan Dharma-themed look. Aarti appeared on the red carpet in a traditional lehenga inspired by Lord Krishna and Vrindavan culture. Her look included a Tulsi kanthi mala and the Bhagavad Gita, which she held in her hand.

India’s regional cinema will dominate Cannes 2026
Alia Bhatt: The Indo-American film Bombay Stories will also be screened at Cannes. Based on Manto’s novel, it tells the story of sex workers living in Bombay in the 1930s. Directed by Rahat Shah Kazmi, the film will be attended by actress Mouni Roy.
The 40-year-old Malayalam film Amma Ariyan will also be screened in Cannes as part of its classical section.
The Palme d’Or will be awarded on the last day
The Palme d’Or is Cannes’s most prestigious award. It is presented to the best film in the festival’s main competition. It is considered Cannes’ highest honor. This year, the festival runs from May 12-23. The Palme d’Or will be presented on May 23rd.
